在聖經裡有一則故事，說到耶穌聽見一個瞎子喊叫著，大衛的子孫，可憐我吧！耶穌就站住對他說，你要我為你做什麼？他就說，我要能看見。耶穌說，去吧！你的信救了你。他立刻就看見了。
 
瞎子是生活在黑暗中的人，他不能看見四周的景物；要看見，就需要光，而耶穌就是那光，是真光，叫人能看見。這裡用這個故事告訴我們世界上的光不過就是個外表，而耶穌這真光是其內容與實際，叫人能得著真實的看見。
 
當我們不認識耶穌時，我們是活在黑暗中，任憑己意而行；認識了耶穌之後，我們就可以活在光中，也能享受在光中行走的自由。
 
(There is a story in the Bible that says Jesus heard a blind man crying out, "Son of David, have mercy on me!" Jesus stopped and said to him, "What do you want me to do for you?" He said, "I want to be able to see." Jesus said, "Go! Your faith has saved you." He immediately saw.
 
The blind man lives in darkness and cannot see the surrounding scenery. To see, he needs light, and Jesus is that light, the true light, which enables people to see. This story tells us that the light in the world is just an appearance, and Jesus, the true light, is its content and reality, which enables people to see truly.
 
When we do not know Jesus, we live in darkness and act according to our own will; after knowing Jesus, we can live in the light and enjoy the freedom of walking in the light.)
