逾越節的來由》是當我聽教會的信息說到以色列人過逾越節，所構想的歌詞，加上自己的譜曲，成為一首管弦樂合唱曲。逾越節是出自聖經舊約的出埃及記，那裡提到摩西帶領以色列人出埃及前，神降災於埃及的第十災”擊殺長子之災”，神吩咐以色列百姓將羊羔的血塗在自己家的門上作為記號，使天使來擊殺一切頭生之物的時候，看到這個記號就逾越過去，這樣，以色列人及他們一切頭生的就得救了。
